100 Years of Solitude

O my Books ! you being my Time-Machine !!
The means of my sustenance,
My Haven in my distress,
My Shield & my Shelter in my woes,
My Asylum and Refuge in time of my need,
And in my loneliness, my companion,
In my anguish my Solace,
And in my solitude a loving Friend,
Thou the Remover of Pangs of my sorrows,
You the Pardoner of my sins,
Wholly unto thee, do I turn to !!

Sea Salty

Life just goes on..
Imbibing love & hate,
Like & dislike,
All together,
In a hope to meet the sea..
And get lost and forget the tiresome paths..
..taken from mountain to plains to sea !!
Satisfying though it is,
That sea in humble regard,
Changed itself to salty,
Just to pay the respect for the tears of his guest;
Who has come a long way to meet him !!

Monsoon Time

Pains are constant reminder for,
The day..
The affliction..
The agony..
..we have been passed through;
For a cause, which were not supposed to be !!
And here we stand,
Alone in a gloom,
Waiting for the clouds,
To be with us,
To weep together !!

My One Thousand Inquest

Far away when the sun goes deep down in the west,
I have always been showered with one thousand inquest.

Having known 'Dimensions', 'Strings' and 'Molecular Biology',
But found hard to decipher this deep seated mythology.

Figures are many scattered all around,
Wriggling body, pain, thirst- but death not to found.

If this way to end; it's better 'not to be',
O sun ! please take me with you, let me be dissolved in your sea.

Friends

Nothing in this world...

Comes completely true.

Like a clam shucked pearl...

Its the point of view.

Believe in your heart...

All that you fear.

But set it apart...

From things you hold dear.

Some nights feel lonely...

Without a word to share.

But life keeps on going...

Even when its not fair.

Your God never left you...

Beside you he walks.

In your hands to choose...

To whisper or to talk.

Many Faces

I have a friend named Anjani

India is where he calls home,

Sometimes he takes journeys

And from place to place he roams.

He's been known to be a conqueror

The great French Napoleon,

He puts his hand inside his shirt

And displays an evil grin.

Sometimes he sits upon a horse

Just call him Cowboy Anjani,

He rides his horse the whole day long

But at night he has a sore fanny.

He's posed for the movie Hairspray

Where his picture was really cute,

He looks like he is dancing

In a funky green leisure suit.

He's also been a Pharoh

Who was holding a cane and septor,

And changed again to Sherlock Holmes...

The famous English Inspector.

He's also been beloved King Richard

Who lived in a really nice palace,

Then puts on another cowboy hat

And stars on the t.v. show Dallas.

I know there's more, but I'm all out of rymes

And alot of space I did consume,

Next time I'll write another poem

About how he studies mushrooms.
